Road Trip #2 No Words Necessary

Along with amusing place names I like to take photos of road signs whose meaning is loud and clear, even without words. It must run in the family, because my mother has a collection of photos of funny signs from all around the world. These are my favourites from our last two trips.

There’s no need to be insulting just because some children don’t walk fast.

  1. Love these! They’re very cute! I like what you say about the kangaroo sign: “He lurks in the grass on the side of the road until you come along, and then he decides to cross the road!” I once met a deer who did just that: he jumped out of some tall grass as I was driving down the road at 50 mph, bounced on my hood, then on the hood of the oncoming car, then into a ditch. He didn’t survive that one, and my car had a big dent to show for it!

  2. We have slow children here, too, but no cow signs like that. Our cows are respectfully behind barbed wire fences. They are curious, but not allowed on the road. I love the sign, though! :
