Love the photos. Probably a stupid question, but…I’ve never seen the water activity depicted in the last photo. Does the kite pull the rider? Is it similar to water skiing? Thank you.
It’s called kite surfing. The kite is attached to a surf board and the rider controls it with strings. I am not an expert but that’s what I saw them doing. If it’s windy enough the rider can do all sorts of tricks and turns and leaps out of the water. It’s very exciting to watch.
These beaches are part of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, north of Brisbane. These photos were all taken in the Cottontree and Maroochydore area when we were there at Easter. The beaches are wonderful.

The sun’s shining here too. It’s the middle of Winter and today it was 19 degrees. Now that’s my kind of Winter!
