Living on an Island

During our week long stay on Stradbroke Island, we saw plenty of interesting plants…

and animals…

    • The shark we saw was a wobbegong and not very dangerous. We were told by a local that they are quite timid but will become aggressive if they feel cornered. I don’t think they would kill you but they might give a nasty bite. I just figure a shark is a shark and best avoided!

    • We were lucky to see him and his mate, who were both up the tree. They are often hard to spot. Remember though that he isn’t actually a bear, so it’s just koala, not koala bear.

      I think I would rather see the shark sign, than come face to face with one while swimming.
