The shark we saw was a wobbegong and not very dangerous. We were told by a local that they are quite timid but will become aggressive if they feel cornered. I don’t think they would kill you but they might give a nasty bite. I just figure a shark is a shark and best avoided!
They’re not easy to spot high in a gum tree either. There were two of them in the tree and they just sat there looking down at us. It was pretty special.
We were lucky to see him and his mate, who were both up the tree. They are often hard to spot. Remember though that he isn’t actually a bear, so it’s just koala, not koala bear.
I think I would rather see the shark sign, than come face to face with one while swimming.
It’s very beautiful! Except for the scary shark sign 🙂

Thank you for the lovely wildlife tour (and it is all lovely, except for the shark!). I think my favourite is the starfish – it looks very pretty.

I did suggest to my husband that we could retire to Stradbroke Island but he wasn’t fussed. I quite fancy the peace and quiet!

I think I’ve been there, but I was young and with a lovely young man, so the sights weren’t really interesting back then. I love yours though.

Leanne, that’s funny. I guess you were too busy gazing into each other’s eyes to gaze at the view!

It’s such a nice treat to see a koala in the wild! We don’t often see them I must say and I saw one for the first time ever this year! 😀

Amazing shot of the koala bear! The shark sign is a little scary though…
