Round Australia Road Trip#32
Bush loos, city loos,
Practical or pretty loos,
Loos with info,
Loos with style,
With views like this,
you’ll take a while!
Sometimes the view is on the loo.
And when there’s no loo
A tree will do!

🙂 Okay, now I’ve seen it all – a Loo series. Chuckled all the way through it. Benches, barns and doors I’ve participated in, but never loos. Of course, if there was a series, I think you’d win hands down with this post. 🙂

Ha ha, Judy. If you do a search on the blog for ‘loo with a view” you will find three other loo posts, including the original “Loo with a View”. I always take loo photos now if they come with amazing views. Wait will you see the loos I’ve collected while on holiday in Hawaii these last two weeks.

Two weeks in Hawaii – now you’re talking, friend. 🙂 Look forward to the loo photos too.

Hey, no flies??

None that I photographed, but believe me when I say there were some loos with an abundance of flies…yuk!

Thanks. We loved the Bungle Bungles and could have stayed longer.

Fabulous!! I really like the loo with the art on it! When I was a kid an aunt still had a long drop down the back garden and you could sit on the loo and smell all her herbs and roses strategically planted both for privacy and aromatic value 🙂 Now that would have been a great shot!!

My grandparents had one like that too, down the back yard next to the vegetable garden.

There are some great loos there! With such great views it would be tempting to linger a bit longer than necessary.

I love your loos with views and the Kununurra loos are wonderful! My first painted Aussie loo was at Bells Beach which I had to photograph!

Funny, cool, and sometimes beautiful. Love your last line. Orange trees are the best. You can hide under all the branches. My friend Sally told me it’s good for the tree. I don’t know if that’s true. Do you?

I haven’t heard that and now I’m not sure if I will be able to eat an orange without wondering…

Right. And keep up that attitude of wonder. It’s what makes you wonderful. 🙂

Hubby is obsessed with loos with views so I’m showing him this post now 😀 The one at Windjana Gorge looks like the one at the Snowy Mountains (it had LOADS of flies) 😉 Great post xxx

It might inspire him to go and visit! The Windjana loo was actually quite good and I don’t remember many flies. Thanks Dianne.

Loos and more loos, a must go to when travelling and with views like these you can sit and dream a while too on the loo. Now what about all the others with murals all over them, I bet you have a folder full of those too…

Sometimes the view is much nicer than the loo. I do have some that are beautiful decorated.

Love this! What a great series and what great loos! Shame ones in England aren’t situated in nice landscapes…

This is a subject very near to my ummm, heart. At my age, I never pass a toilet in case I won’t see one for a while.

And in the outback you might not come across another for a few hundred km!

And when you’re on the road the location of the loo is very important!

Welcome Charles. Travel is wonderful. But when I’m not travelling, it’s nice to see what others are doing.

It’s funny how when you travel, loos (location and condition) take on a whole new level of importance.
I love the views for these loos (although they need to install one way glass so you can see it while on the loo) but a couple of those loos appear to fall into the “Am I really that desperate or can I wait?” category.

One way glass would be an interesting concept. I didn’t try all these loos personally so I can’t comment on their condition. I was pleasantly surprised by most of the dodgy looking loos I used. I do know what you mean though. Sometimes desperation takes a back seat.

There’s a winery near me that has glass on one side of the loo so you can see the rolling hills while you do what you need to do. It’s two way glass so luckily that side faces away from the car park and winery entrance. It’s a little bit nerve-wracking.

I imagine you would be inclined to do what you need to do extremely quickly. There would be no time to enjoy the view.

So are those outbacks ones literally holes in the ground?

No, they are composting toilets so reasonably civilised.
