Australian loos have lovely views

from the mountains to the sea,

When you need to answer nature’s call

they’re where you want to be!

This bush loo looks a little rough

but believe me when I say,

it’s better than no loo at all

in a bushland hideaway.

These stylish loos are made of stone

which is very apt.

They overlook some famous rocks.

At sunset we were rapt!

At Jenolan we found two beaut loos

in excellent locations.

Outside there were garden views

and a hotel for vacations.

The Grand Arch housed a second loo

amongst the cave formations.

Please use this loo

before you start your caving explorations.

The town of Bermagui

has a loo up on the hill.

With views in all directions,

it really fits the bill!

This loo may look a little plain

– it’s very practical.

But sunset over the water

is simply magical.

This tidy loo is on the lakes –

the water views are fine.

The locals like to gather

and enjoy the bright sunshine.

So when you’re on a road trip

and the distances are long,

If you find loos with views like these

You really can’t go wrong!

  10. Hajaha what a terrific clever post on Loos! In some places and countries they can be so bad I would rather use no loo at all ( for peeing:) and actually enjoy doing that in a natural environment. Not a city of course haha!

    Our current loo is in our outdoor garden bathroom and we love looking up into the trees and seeing birds and monkeys while using our loo.

    Love the three sisters photo and the stone loos.

  14. I love your Loo with a View series and the poetry just adds to the fun. These were some great loos but I loved the cave one the best. If you ever get down my way, you must visit the loo at Clyde Park Winery. One wall is is glass with a view over the paddocks! You have to kind of hope the farmer isn’t out working.

  15. You MUST link this to Cathy’s poetry invitation. She will love it. As do I. I was very impressed with the loos at Bell’s Beach, Victoria which are painted with Aboriginal artwork.

    • She has linked one of the other Loo with a View posts before. I will link this one too. Funny you should mention those loos. After I published this, I came across a photo I took in Blackheath of a painted toilet block, which I forgot to include. I might put it in the next post. Thanks, Jude.

  22. I love this post. So clever! When we rafted the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon the guides would set up the ‘loo’ (which had to be packed out onto the raft each day I might add) in some of the most majestic locations imaginable. Your article took me right back to those memories.
