Western Queensland Road Trip #16
Daylight fades quickly in the outback and dusk is soon followed by a clear sky at night. There’s no light pollution in Cunnamulla and the moonlight glows brightly in the evening sky.

What a gorgeous full moon shot!

How did you get that fabulous closeup of the moon Carol? That is a stunner – and the first photo is such a good shot also. You’re a whizz!!

I’d like to take credit for both, but I took the first photo and Mr ET took the second. His camera is a Panasonic Lumix F28 and it takes amazing photos.

That’s a fine shot of the moon and a pretty twilight too.

Twilight doesn’t last for more than a few minutes but the colour of the sky between sunset and darkness is always so beautiful.

Fantastic – gorgeous moonshot, and so lovely to be somewhere where there is no light pollution. A rare find these days 😦

With no big towns way out west, the night skies always are very clear.

Even when we move west we won’t enjoy skies like this. So much light pollution in southern England

Unlikely that far west, but definitely nearer….. well if I can ever get MrB to move! We’ve been talking more than doing a few years now 🙄

When we lived in Hampshire we had no light pollution and the skies were spectacular when cloudless. Contrast HK where light pollution is awful in mist areas. I now only dream of skies like the one in your first photo. Beautiful.

It’s not that far to come from HK to Australia for a visit Andrew. 🙂
