Western Queensland Road Trip Square Tops Challenge #15
After recent rain in the Cunnamulla area the Warrego River was full.
Just outside town the muddy water flowed freely over the top of the weir before heading downstream towards New South Wales.
A single pelican cruised along on top of the water, riding the rapids in search of lunch.
While our travels are on hold, I’m joining in every day with Becky’s April Square Tops Challenge over at The Life of B. The rules are simple: photos must be square and fit the theme word “top”.
WP is not allowing some pingbacks on my post today, and your delightful one is one of the those that hasn’t made it. No idea why . . . however I have found this topping delight so all is good 🙂
Must have been fabulous seeing this topfull

It’s good to see water flowing but not too much. I love a pelican. Such silly looking birds.

I know how you feel. It’s great to be able to enjoy some armchair travel while we have to stay home.

There had been good rain in the channel country and eventually the water makes its way south into these rivers. It was nice to see it in full flow.

The full river is wonderful. But the star is the pelican. Seems he has his own water park. Sure it makes us all smile today. Thanks

He was enjoying having the river to himself that’s for sure.

Yes, water is always a blessing. There are more to come, both with and without water. 🙂
