SquareUp Photo Challenge: Camping at Carnarvon Gorge, October 2020 #6
Carnarvon fan palms may be tall and gangly, with their fan shaped fronds clustered up to 12 metres above the ground. But when they grow in groups along the creek bank, they provide plenty of shade for a relaxed picnic lunch.
In January I’m joining in with Becky’s Square Photo Challenge over at The Life of B. The rules are simple: most photos must be square and fit the theme word up. Look for #SquareUp
Perfect place for a picnic, and just loving the shadows

We took lunch with us and sat for a long time in the shade, just enjoying the beauty and the bush.

Oh, how I wish I was there, having a picnic at one of those benches.

Well, I’d suggest you wait a couple of months. It will be very hot there in mid-summer, up to 40 degrees during the day. You would love it in winter.

You’ve reminded me of a leaf shadow photo I have. It might be appearing later in the month. 😉

So tall! It’s amazing how much shade they make.
