SquareUp Photo Challenge: Camping at Carnarvon Gorge, October 2020 #14
Trees in the bush don’t go to waste when they come down in a storm.
They might create a natural bridge over a waterway.
They often play host to other plants or provide a home for small creatures.
They might also become part of nature’s highway!
In January Iβm joining in with Beckyβs Square Photo Challenge over atΒ The Life of B. The rules are simple: most photos must be square and fit the theme word up. Look for #SquareUp

I like this focus on fallen trees – so often we just walk on by without really looking.

It’s interesting to see the plants and animals who take a dead tree over. Mother Nature hard at work.

I’m not sure if this was Mr and Mrs but they were certainly on a mission that day. π

Iβm very impressed with all the ways you are finding to link your camping trip to the theme! Uprooted, not seen that one before.

Thank you! Sometimes it’s tricky to match an up word to the photos so I appreciate your kind words. My plan is to feature interesting images for the challenge and then write longer posts about the walks we did when the challenge is finished.

oh that last one – fabulous.
And yes more trees should be left where they fall – wish we did more of that here, but we tidy up too much in our gardens, parks and woods this country

It would easier to leave them than try to clear them away, unless they’re dangerous or blocking a path.

Exactly but too many around us have an obsession with cresting pristine!
