SquareUp Photo Challenge: Camping at Carnarvon Gorge, October 2020 #21
All along its course through the gorge, Carnarvon Creek is strewn with waterworn stones of all shapes and sizes.
Some have been repositioned as stepping stones, linking the walking track from one side to the other.
With such an abundance, we were surprised to see just one set of travellers’ stones stacked up beside the creek.
In January I’m joining in with Becky’s Square Photo Challenge over at The Life of B. The rules are simple: most photos must be square and fit the theme word up. Look for #SquareUp
What is it about those things? They’re always such a welcome sight! 🙂 🙂

I like that they’re a fun way to record those who have gone that way before me.

Looks so beautiful and lush. And love those rock cairns, they’re always intriguing.

There had been some good rainfalls before our visit so everything was green.

I always like coming across these little piles of stones. 🙂

Me too. I like the thought of all the people who’ve been here before.

Love water, love rocks, love stacked rocks near water. Good one. 🙂

🙂 This photo covers it all for you then. Glad you like it, Judy.

Gorgeous stacking up – I’d be hesitant on the stepping stones though, thanks to my falling phobia I am always convinced I am going to fall!

You could always just wade through the creek. It’s very shallow in most places.

We camped at the gorge for a week and managed to take many, many photos. 🙂 There will be more posts after the challenge is finishes, because I’ll show all the great walks we did then.

Only when Becky is hosting her challenge! In February I’ll be back to my usual once a week posting. 🙂

Ah right, I’m starting a new job on Monday so not sure where I’ll have time to write now! I’m madly trying to write and schedule 6 weeks (6 post only) so that it gives me a little breathing space.

I’ve done that when we’ve gone on a long holiday. It’s a lot of work to get ahead. Congratulations on the new job.

It is a lot of work, but I find this is the best way for me to keep abreast of posts.
Thank you, it will be challenging but I’m excited about this new role. 🙂
