As part of Becky’s April Bright Square Photo Challenge over at The Life of B, I’ve opened the archives to January 2020 to share our 19 day trip to USA. Join me on a pictorial travelogue of the best and brightest of our pre-pandemic adventures in California and Nevada! The rules of the challenge are simple: most photos must be square and fit the theme word bright. Look for #brightsquare.
Postcards from America
We’ve come to our last day in USA!
Our flight wasn’t leaving until just before midnight. We had one full day in LA so we booked a whistle-stop tour of the city’s highlights. From Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach to Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, the Griffith Park Observatory and Hollywood, we saw it all.
It was a thrill to see these famous places – many we’d read about or seen on TV.
Even the street names were familiar.
We also had time for some last minute shopping – here…
and here,
but not here!
Say goodbye to Hollywood… I’m singing it 🙂 🙂

wow a whistle stop tour indeed – what a fun way to spend your last day. And probably couldn’t be more different to where you are today!

It was such a great way to see the sights without having to worry about transport. Our guide was fabulous and had lots of stories to tell. And yes, the contrast between that day and where we are now is incredible.

Between us we take so many photos and there are always plenty to choose from. I have more posts to come on places we went to that didn’t fit the bright theme.

Glad you enjoyed it. There are more stories to come – the ones I couldn’t make fit the bright theme, even with my very loose interpretations. 😄

I saw you posted it. We’ve been camping off grid with hit and miss reception so I could see the notification but couldn’t reply. I’m glad everyone enjoyed seeing it.

I’ve been to Los Angeles so many times, for meetings and for fun, and yet it all looks new and beautiful in your pictures. I’m glad you got to see all those places.

You can tell I parked on your blog. I didn’t realize I had missed so many posts. I gave up on keeping up during April.
