I’m joining Becky in her October Square Photo Challenge over at The Life of B. The rules of the challenge are simple: most photos must be square and fit the theme word Past. Look for #PastSquares. This month we’re travelling back in time in the western Queensland town of Miles and surrounds. We’ll explore the local area and join in the festivities at the Miles Back to the Bush Festival.
Back to the Bush Festival 2021
Out on the arena, this vintage tractor chugged around in circles all day. Driven by steam, the tractor towed a couple of flatbed wagons and a very rusty water tank.
Love steam rallies – there is an enormous one in the south west of England every year. last days. Hoping to get to it in 2023

This old tractor was so big and loud. Fun to watch it trundling past all day.

you would love the Great Dorset Steam fair then – hundreds of them, so are even running old fashioned rides and old farm equipment

It looks very solid and sturdy – and complicated!

There were three men operating it. I suppose keeping the boiler going would be a full time job. Hard work on a 30 degree day.

That’s making me feel hot just thinking about it!

I’m glad you had fun. I almost said what we could do next time you come to the US, but I was thinking CA, and we’re not there. Shucks! 🙂
