What a difference water makes! At Paddabilla Bore between Eulo and Cunnamulla, water drawn deep from the Great Artesian Basin nourishes the land.

Sadly, not fast enough for some creatures.

The dam won’t be topped up until it rains again.

After seven years of drought, a flash flood didn’t seem likely the day we drove to Eulo.

More of a worry was the lack of protection for all the precious topsoil in the paddocks. With the ground cover long ago died off, it would take just one dry, windy day for the soil to be picked up and blown hundreds of kilometres away.
